Billiards and Chill

The month of May ran us a mile a minute! There didn't seem to be a day without something scheuled. School was still in session; we had holidays on the calendar--Mother's Day, Memorial Day, our Anniversary (ok, not an official holiday :-); we hosted visitors--great to see you Goodsons!; there were wedding activities for Jozsef as well as the actual wedding that we attended; and, of course, Hannah's birthday. :-) By the time Jozsef's birthday rolled around at the beginning of June, we were all ready for a pause!
After a full day of work, Jozsef chose to simply play billiards and chill as his celebration. Which was perfect, because, at the beginning of April, we were gifted a billiards table (what a blessing!). So, we ha[[ily gifted out our air hockey table to another family with multiple children who could enjoy it, and enlisted a group of guys to come help us move the billiards table in to the recently vacated spot. Which means, we no longer have to go to the pool hall to shoot pool! :-)
We enjoyed a homecooked dinner of Jozsef's choice before we went downstairs, drinks in hand, to chat while the dogs played at our feet and we took turns switching up the teams for competition. Before it got too late, we went to have cake and watch Jozsef open gifts. Jozsef's double chocolate german frosted cake was on the menu again this year, though it was a bit different (I made the frosting from scratch) it was quite tasty.
Jozsef received some really great and fun gifts and cards this year. The art was on point and so were the jokes.
By the time he was done with his gifts, we were all ready for bed. What a great night!
And what a blessing to have Jozsef for another year! Happy 23rd birthday, Jozsef!
